F.A.Q.
Do I have to attend the whole Virtual Career Fair?
We understand that you might have class or other commitments that mean you can't sit on Zoom for four hours. That's okay! We encourage you to attend for however long you can. During the networking portion, you will only need to be present during the times you are scheduled to meet with a company representative.
Is the Virtual Career Fair only for people in the United States?
All are welcome to attend the fair. We regret that the timing means folks in some time zones won't be able to join us, and we hope to do more events in the future that are more accommodating to other time zones. Please note that some companies are only hiring those eligible to work in the United States. Please see the sponsor descriptions document for more details. Additionally, you do not need to be a student to attend.
I don't have an SFPE account. How do I register?
You can make an SFPE account for free to register for the career fair when you click through to the registration page. The account can be used to reigster for SFPE events and courses, as well as to become a member. If you're a student and not already a member, student membership is free and comes with a myriad of benefits.
I've registered. Now what?
Thank you for registering! Save us to your calendar. Two weeks before the event, you will receive an email with the Zoom link and instructions for how to sign up for networking slots.
I've been wait listed. When will I be notified if I can participate?
We will email wait listed folks as slots open up, up to the day before the event.
Who can I contact if my question is not answered here?
Students should contact Amanda Tarbet.
Companies/sponsors should contact Kristin Griffes.
