Fire in buildings is now bigger, more unpredictable, and more dangerous than ever before, and many of the current regulatory requirements around fire safety in buildings do not provide adequate fire protection for European citizens. Fire Safe Europe (FSEU) intends to change this status quo by working with experts, policy, and decision-makers to ensure that people and communities across Europe are safe from fire in every building they spend time in.

NSPE was established in 1934 to realize a simple but vital goal: create an inclusive, nontechnical organization dedicated to the interests of licensed professional engineers, regardless of the practice area, that would protect engineers (and the public) from unqualified practitioners, build public recognition for the profession, and stand against unethical practices and inadequate compensation.
