Chapters are the backbone of the Society, providing geographical and expertise-based organization to the Society. With 117 Global Chapters, there are plenty of SFPE components to join in your local area.

Chapter membership is extremely valuable in bringing together fire protection professionals from the same state, province, or other geographic regions. Their annual meetings convey significant amounts of information directly relevant to many attendees because of the localized nature of the chapters.

How to Start a Chapter

Chapters are a valued part of the Society - where advancing our mission at a local and regional level often happens. It is where fire protection engineers and other allied professionals in the field, share knowledge and grow a greater understanding of the profession. As a global Society, we welcome interested groups of fire protection engineers to gather in new local areas to form chapters. Don't see a chapter in your area, look here.

For Chapter Leaders

To access various materials and reference documents, visit the Chapter Leadership Resource Portal located in the SFPE Forum under the "Groups" tab.

To join the Chapter Leadership Resource Portal click Manage Profile>Groups>Available Groups>Chapter Leaders>Join Group.
